Big City Harmony
By Ty Defoe
Join First Stage for a free Amplify Festival reading of Big City Harmony at Indian Community School on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 5:30PM.
This new work follows Harmony, a young Anishinaabe girl who moves from the reservation to the big city with her family. As she navigates a new school, deepens her connection to culture, and discovers her ability to shapeshift, Harmony learns the power of releasing her own voice into the wild.
Following the reading, audience members are invited to participate in a talkback with the artists to help support the continued development of the play.
